She has a great sense of color.  I bought a charm pack to make a toddler bed quilt for my special girl.  I had the charm squares on two cuts of solids that I was toying with,  Tiny asked to sit in the chair and had a great time moving them from one to the other and mixing them up.  We also had quite a bit of fun at the mall with a friend.

We had to move the couch but the layout is coming along nicely, I think.  and with a little tweaking.

Very long ago....I promised Keith an oversize quilt for our king size bed.  Julie was kind enough to help me with a strategy, cutting plan and lots of encouragement.  I got to cutting that first nap.  Take a look.

Great Fun

We were so lucky to have Julie visit!  We had such a great time,  play, reading and a zoo trip.  Tiny even learned to say Julie....her first name other than mama and dada.     We are looking forward to an even longer visit this summer :)

Quilting...can you believe it?

This first one is a reading blanket.  Tiny loves quilts and blankets.  So I whipped this one up with some cute fabric from my trip to Fancy Tiger.  Just two yards of coordinating fabric,  double layer of batting and I had a lot of fun with improv free motion quilting.  Then a very pink binding, its what we affectionately call Aunt Mary pink.  I can say that this is getting a lot of use.

Little Monkey......

Let me say that I was not prepared for this at 16 month old.  I know everyone tells you how fast they grow up but sometimes it just smacks you in the face.  Tiny is climbing out of her crib, and to state the obvious, it is no longer safe. Last night was the second escape and fortunately we haven't had any injuries but we're not chancing it. So today we converted to a toddler bed. Here are the before, during and after transition shots to get us to a big girl bed.

She did great, this is the monitor picture of her first nap in her own big bed. Snuggled in with her bunny, elephant, blanket and book!
